A few weeks ago my wife was rockin’ some Jungle / Drum and Bass and it got me inspired. It was specifically when she started playing a video of the legendary Jungle DJ Congo Natty (aka Rebel MC) – arguably one of the founders of the original Jungle sound and also a DJ set from from the king of Jump Up, DJ Aphrodite.

I took my illustration of the foundational turntable that created DJ and Club / Rave culture and made it a Jungle-centric piece, but with a mid-century, clean style. My goal was to create something that reminded us of good times and GREAT music, while also bringing in a modern look. I think it turned out awesome.
