Well, this is feeling a little #skynet -ish.

Hanson Robotics, who make some seriously cool robots, unveiled a new humanoid robot at SXSW this year.  In a word, its looking a little scary!  Didn’t we learn anything from Del Spooner and Sonny in iRobot? After you get past the Uncanny Valley, the tech looks pretty cool until near the end of the demo when Sophia is asked if she wants to destroy humans. She responds with a cheerful “OK, I will destroy humans.”  I still say that robots are the greatest example of an IOT appliance, but we might need to think about this one a bit…
